Partnerships

Which pairs play well together, and which exceed or fall short of what their ratings expect.

For each settled pair - 10 or more games together - it shows the discipline (mixed, men’s or ladies’), the games they have played as a pair, how they perform versus expected as a rating-point difference, a verdict (over-performing, as expected, or under-performing), and a confidence level. Pairs below 10 appear in a “still settling” section with how many more games they need, showing their individual-average strength instead of a verdict we cannot yet stand behind.

A pair settling is a different thing from a player’s rating settling, and the two use different numbers. This one counts only the games the two have played as a pair, and the bar is 10; a player’s own rating settles at 15 rated games, however those games were partnered. So a pair of long-established players can still be settling as a partnership.

Use it to find the partnerships that genuinely click, decide who to keep together for league or tournament play, and see which new pairings are still settling.
