Move from the desktop app
If your club runs the Windows desktop Pegboard, you can bring your club across to the web app and keep your history. It is an assisted move - we do it with you, so the main thing is to get in touch and we will guide you through it.
What comes across
Section titled “What comes across”- Your members - names, gender and membership type, and who is active.
- Your full playing history - every session and game, with scores and dates.
- Ratings - rebuilt from that history, so players keep their level and their rating progression rather than starting from scratch.
- Your session settings - courts, scoring, costs and the picking options you used.
What does not come across
Section titled “What does not come across”- Contact details and photos - email, phone and member photos are not carried over. You can add these in the web app afterwards, or load them with a roster import.
- Payment records.
- Logins - people are invited to the web app separately once your club is across (see Add another organiser).
How the move works
Section titled “How the move works”- Get in touch (support@epegboard.com) and tell us you are moving from the desktop app.
- On your desktop machine, you run a small converter we provide against your Pegboard data file. It produces a single export file of your club’s history. We will walk you through this if you would like.
- Send us that file. We create your web club from it and import everything above.
- We confirm what came across and flag anything that needed adjusting (very old or unusual data occasionally needs a tidy-up, which we handle).
After the move
Section titled “After the move”- Sign in and check your members and history are as you expect.
- Add contact details or photos to members if you want them.
- Invite your organisers and players so they can sign in.
Then carry on as normal - your ratings and history continue, now in any browser. New features land on the web app first, so you are moving onto the version that keeps improving. See Getting started for the web app basics.
