Your account

Your account is the one page about you rather than any club. Open Me, then Edit profile. It has your profile at the top and your email choices below it.

Choose Upload photo, pick a picture, and check the preview before you choose Save photo. Cancel drops it. JPG, PNG and WEBP all work, and large photos are resized automatically.

Once you have a photo the button reads Upload new photo, and Remove photo takes it away.

You do not need a club to add a photo. When you join or connect at a club, your photo fills in your member record there if the club has none for you.

Your clubs show your photo next to your name on the club’s screen and member list. A new photo, or removing one, changes every club that has no photo for you or still shows your old one. If an organiser has given you a different photo at their club, that club keeps it. Ask them if you want it changed.

Choose Change beside your name, type the new one and choose Save name. It cannot be blank, and it can be up to 80 characters.

Each club keeps its own copy of your name. A club that had you under exactly your old name changes with you, and the confirmation names it. A club that has you differently, such as a short form an organiser chose, is not changed. Instead you are asked about it, one club at a time, for example “Has you as Chris B. Change it to Chris Brown?”, with Change it at the club or Keep the name it has. Keeping it is the safe choice, because an organiser may have set it on purpose.

You are also asked, rather than the club changing on its own, when someone else at that club already has the new name, or when the club’s copy differs from your old name only in capital letters.

Change beside your email opens a separate page, where you confirm the new address with a code we email to it. If you have a password, you also enter your current password. If you don’t, we first email a code to your old address to check it’s you.

The Password row shows •••••••• if you have a password, with Change. Change opens three fields in place: Current password, New password and Confirm new password. Choose Update password. A new password needs at least 8 characters, and we email you to confirm the change.

If you have always signed in with an emailed code, the row reads Not set. Choose Set a password and we email you a 6-digit code. Enter the code with your new password, twice, and choose Set password. You can still sign in with an emailed code afterwards.

Which emails you get, and how to turn each one on or off for every club or for one club, is on Email settings.
