Email settings for badminton club players and organisers
After a club night ePegboard can email you a recap of your own games and, if you help run the club, an organiser recap. Both are on until you turn them off. You change them on the Your account page. Open Me, then Edit profile, and scroll past your profile.
The emails you can turn off
Section titled “The emails you can turn off”Session recap emails
Section titled “Session recap emails”- What it is. An email headed “Your night at” your club, with a link to your games that night, who you played, and how your rating moved.
- When it comes. When an organiser chooses End session at the end of a night you were checked in to.
- Who gets it. Each player checked in that night whose name on the club’s list is linked to their ePegboard account, sent to the email address on that account. If you haven’t connected to your name yet, see Claim your spot.
- Where to change it. The Session recap emails switch, in the Player notifications card.
The same setting covers the email you get when your team captain chooses Notify the team for a league fixture. With Session recap emails off for that club, the captain’s message isn’t emailed to you, and you still see it in your fixture view.
Organiser recap emails
Section titled “Organiser recap emails”- What it is. An email headed “ePegboard - share your” club’s recap. It thanks you for running the night, gives you the link to the night’s recap to share with your club, and says how many of the night’s players haven’t claimed their spot yet.
- When it comes. When a session at your club ends with players checked in.
- Who gets it. Every Owner and Admin of the club. Each organiser has their own setting, so turning yours off doesn’t change what the other organisers get.
- Where to change it. The Organiser recap emails switch, in the Organiser notifications card. You only see this card if you are an owner or admin of at least one club.
Turning an email on or off
Section titled “Turning an email on or off”Each email has a switch that shows On or Off. Tap it to change it. The switch is your default, and it applies to every club unless you set a club differently.
When you change the switch, the confirmation tells you if any club keeps its own setting, so you know which clubs didn’t follow.
Setting one club differently
Section titled “Setting one club differently”If you belong to two or more clubs, Club by club sits under the switch. Open it to see your clubs, each with three choices.
- Use default follows your switch, and keeps following it if you change the switch later. The brackets show what that means today, for example Use default (On).
- Always on sends that club’s email whatever your switch says.
- Always off stops that club’s email whatever your switch says.
The line under Club by club tells you whether any club is set differently, such as “All 3 clubs use your default”, so you can check without opening it.
For session recaps the list has every club you belong to. For organiser recaps it has only the clubs where you are an owner or admin.
The unsubscribe link
Section titled “The unsubscribe link”Each session recap email, and each team email from your captain, has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. It turns your Session recap emails switch off, which stops these emails from every club set to Use default. A club you set to Always on keeps sending. To start them again, turn the switch back on in Your account.
The organiser recap has no unsubscribe link. Use the switch in Organiser notifications instead.
- Your account - your name, photo and password.
- Recaps and your history - what the session recap holds.
